Jessica Schroter BSW, MSW, RSW is a registered therapist with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from McMaster University.
Prior to joining The Social Work Consulting Group, Jessica worked at Toronto Rehab on the inpatient Acquired Brain Injury Programs and has extensive experience working with individuals and families who are navigating the complexities of recovery following a traumatic injury. As part of her hospital experience, she facilitated caregiver support groups, patient education initiatives and was part of a working group focused on acquired brain injury and sexuality. Jessica is also part of the International Social Work Group for Acquired Brain Injury which is a global collaborative aimed at advancing care, service delivery and quality of life for those affected by brain injury. In addition, she has completed training for the Brain Injury Family Intervention (BIFI), a comprehensive set of tools designed to help families cope with the evolving dynamics of the recovery process.
In her clinical work, Jessica draws on an eclectic framework to provide in-depth, client-centered counselling support. Jessica is committed to creating a therapeutic partnership with those who are journeying through loss, adjustment and recovery following a traumatic event.
