Dinah Finkelstein MSW, RSW is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University where she graduated with a certificate in Child and Family Welfare. Dinah holds an Honours Bachelor Arts and Science degree from Queen’s University.
Dinah joined The Social Work Consulting Group in 2018. She has experience working with different demographics from young children to the geriatric population in acute care hospitals as well as within the community. Dinah’s practice specifically looks at the emotional challenges that impact the individual and family when faced with a life changing medical condition. She has worked with clients who are living with brain injury, orthopaedic injuries, cancer and a variety of acute or chronic illness, and the resulting emotional trauma that is associated. Dinah provides therapeutic interventions and crisis management to assist her clients cope with injury, loss and grief, and develop valuable skills necessary to move forward.
Dinah draws from a broad range of modalities including cognitive behavioural therapy, strengths-based approach and mindfulness in order to provide the best support for her clients. Dinah has a passion for helping her clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
