In carrying out a critical approach to my social work practice, I believe in continuously examining the power dynamics that rest within the therapeutic alliance and its connection to greater structural issues. Emotional healing can be a long and strenuous journey, however, it can be less overwhelming alongside a nurturing and knowledgeable professional.”
